You don’t have a SOUL; you are a SOUL. You have a body – Buddha

The soul is the essence of who we are. It is our core, and we extend out from there. It is the part of us where our unique gifts and true character reside. Our SOUL is our representation of who we are to the world. Our personalities develop from our life experiences and the lessons we learn along the way, but you cannot change the essence of someone. I have known for many years that a person can present how they want the world to see them, but essentially the truth of their being or the essence of who they are will ultimately become visible. You can only pretend for so long.

I believe that our souls are our guidance system that helps us to recognise our own kind. An example is when you meet someone for the first time. You unconsciously pick up an energy vibration from them. Some you will instantly like and feel comfortable in their company. Others you will not. This reaction is a soul to soul match or mismatch, but whichever way we choose to go, the response will give us guidance along the way. Continue reading

One of the most significant things I have undertaken in the past few years is self-improvement and the examination of my own life. I was operating my own business, managing staff and working very long hours while raising four children and all that came with it including the guilt we carry trying to be a good parent and partner. As many can relate, all parents wear multiple hats, and it takes its toll on you both physically and emotionally. Your focus is on your family and their needs, so you tend to forget who you are. I was just going through the motions of each day and not really paying attention to the big picture. At that time of my life, my focus had to be for my family which was as it should be and acceptance of my choices was key.

As is the progression of life, I moved on to the next chapter. Once my children became more independent, I was able to deliberately make changes so I took some time to do some work on myself. The opportunity to start discovering who I was and what were my interests? At the time, I couldn’t afford the time to take off from the business, so I fitted it in on weekends and nights.  I have done countless hours of research of my own, listened to endless videos from motivational and spiritual speakers such as Tony Robins, Jim Rhon, Robert Kiyosaki and Abraham Hicks to name a few and undertaken courses in NLP, Reiki, hypnosis, and other holistic health disciplines. Continue reading

Welcome

Welcome to my new blog. For many years I have had a website / blog called “Life and how to live it”. I noticed that although my target audience was predominately for teens, many of the audience were in fact adults of varying ages. From young people just leaving school to retired couples just starting their new chapter. I discovered there were lessons in it for everyone resulting in a total revamp of the old website to a new series “Elysium Soul” which is more from where I am today.  The blog  will offer practical suggestions, solutions, ideas and stories from all perspectives incorporating the Body, Mind and Soul that I have found personally worked for me and ultimately for my clients, particularly over the past 10 years.

I will incorporate articles, video inks, life strategies and suggestions throughout the posts that I have found inspiring or motivating or simply a better way to explain a process.

My aim through this new series is simply to give back and hopefully help others in building a better life.

Take a look around…

Cheers
